With around 99%+ of VEN tokens swapped, we have migrated almost the entirety of ERC-20 VEN to their VIP-180 counterparts on the VechainThor blockchain, thus rendering the token swap service redundant. If you still have VEN tokens remaining, please initiate the token swap via the VechainThor mobile wallet BEFORE October 10th. Help the environment and be transparent about it too? 🧐 A #vechain how-to. The #ReSea Project wanted to spearhead a way for organizations around the world to team up to clean our waterways. We developed a way to bring this to life with #blockchain. Alongside global assurance provider DNV, we created a system to track the origin of plastics that are recovered during clean-up activities and then follow their path up to the point of being recycled or upcycled. ➡️ First, we identified critical control points ➡️ Then we assisted in developing an app for collectors, recyclers and staff to use to document and upload evidence in real time to the blockchain, with third-party data verification at each step ➡️ Through the app, every phase of the cleanup process – from the origin of the plastic, up until it is delivered to ReSea’s sorting facility for further fine-sorting – is tracked ➡️ As a result, community members have access to verified documentation, backing up the company’s green claims A community-driven project, over the last two years, ReSea Project has collected over 2 million kilos of plastic from oceans and rivers.
